Moving on to the operation of the enhanced burst mode function, on this slide can be seen, on the left hand side, the burst mode with the original L6599A IC. On the right hand side, the burst mode with the new L6699 IC is shown. The width of the first pulse is shorter with the L6699 IC, which reduces the amplitude of the initial current spike. Also, the last pulse is not truncated as with the L6599A IC. That reduces the stimulation that generates audible noise in burst mode.
