As can be seen on this slide, thanks to the auto-adaptive dead-time function, the IC automatically adjusts the dead-time to the minimum necessary to always maintain the MOSFETs in zero voltage switching. This allows the resonant tank inductance to be higher, which results in a lower magnetizing current. This low magnetizing current maximizes efficiency across the load range. In the waveform on the left hand side, the dead time is 366 ns, while in the waveform on the right hand side, it has increased to 526 ns. Thus, it does indeed automatically adjust the dead-time, according to the load.
