1553B Bus Couplers and Cable Assemblies | Datasheet Preview

Cinch Trompeter's MIL-STD-1553B data bus couplers provide the required interface to connect bus controllers, remote terminals, and bus monitors to the bus itself. The MIL-STD-1553B bus is typically less than 100 meters in length, uses 78 Ω twinax cable, is terminated on both ends with 78 Ω termination resistors, and can support up to 30 remote terminals each connected to a bus coupler stub of shorter than 20 feet. Its 1 Mbps data rate is more than sufficient to transfer the command, control, and status messages between the attached systems with a redundant, deterministic, and proven data bus. These couplers can be used together with Cinch Connectivity’s 21-14 and 21-17 series cable assemblies that offer TRB and TRS connector configurations terminated to a variety of cable types, including 78 ohm Twinax cable as well as 50 ohm or 75 ohm triax cable. Trompeter’s MIL-STD-1553B components are found in land, sea, air, and satellite-based systems.
