This tutorial will discuss the most common types of Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) and review their basic theories of operation.  The presentation will cover Double-Buffered DACs, Binary Weighted Networks, Kelvin Dividers, Thermometer DACs, String DACs, Multiplying DACs (MDAC), TxDACs®, Interpolating DACs, and Sigma Delta DACs.
