Image of E-T-A's Thermal Overcurrent Circuit Breaker Series 1180 ETA's 1180 series is a miniaturized single-pole thermal circuit breaker with optional push-push actuation and equipped with a reliable snap-action and trip-free mechanism. Blade terminals allow the 1180 to fit into sockets for rail mounting. Designed to reduce downtime in process control and automation applications, the product provides re-settable replacements for blade fuses and is conveniently installed by means of a complementary purpose designed terminal block system. The tripped/off position is clearly indicated by the push button actuator with optional press on/off operation. Instead of having to identify which fuse is blown and then trying to locate a suitable replacement, the button on the 1180 is pressed to instantly re-energize the circuit. The 1180 Circuit Breaker is also designed to avoid tripping from short-term surges or transients, caused, for example, by motor start-ups.
