Low inductance land grid array (LGA) capacitors have virtually the equivalent high frequency performance of 8-terminal interdigitated capacitors (IDC) but are built in a simplified two terminal package. This provides for lower manufacturing cost and easier handling and design. LGAs are ideal for decoupling in semiconductor package-level and board-level applications.
