Microchip's AT91SAM Embedded MPUs are optimized for reduced system cost in industrial applications

The SAM9G45 is a 400 MHz ARM926 based embedded MPU with DDR2 and LPDDR support, a wide range of connectivity and user interface peripherals, as well as a dual external bus interface. The multi-layer bus architecture is associated with 36 DMA channels, 64 KB of SRAM that can be configured as TCM, and dual bus interface that sustains the high bandwidth required by the processor and its high-speed peripherals. The SAM9G45 integrates multiple communication interfaces such as high-speed USB host and device with transceivers, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet controller and high-speed SDIO/MMC interface. It also comes with an LCD controller supporting up to 1280 x 860 resolution, a resistive touchscreen controller and a camera interface. The I/Os support 3.3 V. The SAM9G45 is available in a BGA324 package with 0.8 mm ball pitch.

Microchip's SAM9M10 is a 400 MHz ARM926-based embedded MPU with video playback, DDR2 and LPDDR support, wide range of connectivity and user interface peripherals, as well as a dual external bus interface. The hardware video decoder supports multiple formats (H264, H263, MPEG4, MPEG2, VC1) in resolutions up to WVGA or D1 at 30 fps. It includes graphics acceleration, such as scaling, rotation, color conversion and picture-in-picture The multi-layer bus architecture with 36 DMA channel and 64 KB of SRAM can be configured as TCM, and the dual bus interface sustains the high bandwidth required by the processor and its high-speed peripherals. It includes multiple communication interfaces, such as high speed USB host and device with transceivers, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet controller and high-speed SDIO/MMC interface.
