JWL and JSK Series DC-DC Converters

XP Power introduces their high efficiency 40/50 W DC-DC converter series in a compact 2" x 1" footprint

Offering a variety of input voltage range and single- or dual-output combinations, both series fit the industry standard 50.8 mm x 25.4 mm footprint and pin outs. With their compact dimensions they are ideal for use in a broad range of mobile and portable board mounted applications that require a high power density, up to 50 W output and 1,500 VDC input to output isolation.

The 40 W JWL40 and the 50 W JWL50 both have two ultra-wide 4:1 input ranges offering 9 VDC to 36 VDC or 18 VDC to 75 VDC that cater for all popular nominal input voltages. The JWL40 features single- or dual-output models. Singles cover all popular output voltages in the range 3.3 VDC to 24 VDC, and duals ±12 VDC or ±15 VDC. The JWL50 is a higher power single-output version of the JWL40.

The JSK50 is a 50 W single output device that has wide 2:1 input voltage ranges of 9 VDC to 18 VDC, 18 VDC to 36 VDC, and 36 VDC to 75 VDC. The JWL40/50 series output models cover most standard requirements in the range from 3.3 VDC to 24 VDC. The JWL50 and the JSK50 are equipped with a voltage trim function that allows adjustment of the output ±10% of nominal output in order to accommodate line losses or non-standard voltages.

All models can operate over the extended operating temperature range from -40°C to 105°C. Input to output isolation of 1,500 VDC is standard across the range. A remote on/off input pin allows control and sequencing of the converter from host applications.
